Transportation

Scarborough is conveniently located near Route 9, with close access to major highways such as the Taconic, Saw Mill, and Sprain.

 

For those who prefer to take alternative transportation, the Metro-North Scarborough station is about 3/4 of a mile from Scarborough Manor, just a short walk or drive from the property. This station serves Scarborough-on-Hudson and Briarcliff Manor, New York, via the Hudson Line, a commuter rail line running north from New York City along the east shore of the Hudson River. Metro-North service ends at Poughkeepsie, with Amtrak's Empire Corridor trains continuing north to and beyond Albany.

Trains leave for New York City every 25 to 35 minutes on weekdays. The station is 28.7 miles (46.2 km) from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is about 42 minutes on the express and 61 minutes on local service.

Bus service is available on Route 9 via Westchester County’s Bee-Line Bus System.  Click here for timetables and maps.
